MCC: Custom Game Browser

My role on this project was as the UX designer, working closely with the engineering team, production team, design director and third party vendors to create and launch this feature.

The Ask

Design and spec out a feature that allows for users to see what games are being hosted by other players, see the details for those game sessions and join a match.

The Goal

Create an easy to use feature that allows users to find matches they would not normally experience in other parts of the game.

The Plan

Map out the different ways in which users would interact with this feature, create the design spec and wireframes, guide the project through to launch. Post launch, use data gathered from user feedback to improve upon the feature.

userflow & SPEC

This is a small segment of the design spec that I wrote for this feature, which was housed in Confluence pages.

wireframes

wireframes & Dev Build

These are wireframes paired with screenshots of the dev build before the feature launched.

Post Launch

Screenshots and videos from the live feature after the second update where we added in search, filters and increased the width to use the full screen. These were all design decisions driven by user feedback.
